Privacy policy
Protecting your personal data matters to us. Your data is collected and processed in accordance with the applicable data protection rules, in particular the Spanish law LOPDGDD and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Collection of general information
When you access our website, the web server automatically records technical information (e. g. browser type, operating system, IP address, time of access). This data is used solely for the technical operation and security of the website and does not allow any direct conclusions to be drawn about you personally.
3. Contact and quotation forms
If you contact us via a form, we store the details you provide (name, email address, telephone number, message or project details and any photos uploaded) in order to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). This data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so.
4. Cookies & local storage
This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Only technically necessary storage is used — for example to remember that you have closed the cookie notice (stored locally in your browser), or a session cookie in the password-protected internal area. No personal profile is created and there is no recognition across websites (for the anonymous visitor count see point 6).
5. External services
Google Fonts: To display fonts consistently, this website uses fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). When you open the pages, your browser loads the required fonts from Google servers; your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. Further information: Google privacy policy.
WhatsApp: If you click a WhatsApp button, the WhatsApp service (Meta Platforms) opens. WhatsApp's privacy terms only apply once you send a message there. Clicking on our website does not itself transmit any data to WhatsApp.
6. Visitor statistics (Umami)
For anonymous traffic measurement we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics software that we run ourselves on our own server — no data is passed on to third parties. Umami sets no cookies and stores no personal data: IP addresses are used solely for rough country allocation and are not stored; there is no cross-site tracking and no recognition of individual persons. Only aggregated figures such as page views, referring page (referrer), country and approximate time on page are recorded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimising traffic measurement (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
No further analytics, tracking or advertising services are used.
7. Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right to:

- Erasure of your data (unless we are required to retain it)

Terms and Conditions
The following terms apply to all orders placed with Handwerker Costa Blanca (Michael Mager, Calle Cantábrico 80, 03189 Orihuela Costa), in the version valid at the time the contract is concluded.
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to all services in the fields of trade work, renovation, refurbishment and related trades on the Costa Blanca, unless expressly agreed otherwise. Any differing conditions of the client shall only be valid if they have been confirmed in writing.
2. Quotations and conclusion of contract
Quotations are subject to change unless a binding period is expressly stated. The contract comes into effect upon written (including digital) order confirmation or upon commencement of the agreed work. Verbal side agreements require written confirmation to be valid.
3. Scope of work and your cooperation
The scope and schedule are set out in the quote or the specification of works. The client shall provide timely access to the site, electricity and water connections, as well as the agreed decisions on materials and workmanship. Delays due to force majeure or to circumstances for which the client is responsible may result in dates being adjusted.
4. Prices and payment
The agreed prices apply. Unless otherwise agreed, interim payments are due on completion of milestones and the final payment on handover. In the event of late payment, we may suspend work after a reminder and assert the statutory consequences of default.
5. Warranty
The statutory warranty rules apply. Defects must be reported to us in writing without delay. We are not liable for defects for which we are not responsible in materials supplied by the client or in existing building components.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, in cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations; in such cases liability is limited to the typically foreseeable damage.
7. Final provisions
Spanish law applies, taking into account mandatory consumer protection provisions where applicable. For business clients, the place of jurisdiction is — where permissible — the registered office of the company; for consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
